How To Make A Rag Wreath

How to make a rag wreath, a simple no-sew project.

You will need -

* 4 fat quarters of thin patterned fabric, we recommend cotton poplins.

* 1 fat quarter of a solid colour.

* 1 wire wreath, we found ours on Amazon 2 for £8

* Scissors

Step 1

Lay out your fat quarters and divide them into four, make a little snip at at each point and simply tear the fabric with your hands. The rougher the edges - the better the look!

Step 2

Make snips 1 inch apart along

the length of the fabric. Then tear them using your hands again. You should end up with roughly 20-22 pieces per strip.

Step 3

Begin to tie the fabrics around the inner wire of the wreath first with the four patterned fat quarters.

We have tied them in a seqence to give an even distribution look of fabrics at the end.

On the centre wire tie the solid colour only.

There is no need to double knot the fabrics, one tie is enough.

Step 4

Once all the pieces have been tied, push the fabric pieces to the front of the wreath and give it a little fluff.

Then hang it in pride of place!

We also made an Easter/Spring themed wreath. The colour combinations are endless.
